Kanpur Lamborghini Crash: Shivam Mishra’s Luxury Cars and Assets Under Scrutiny After Accident
Shivam Mishra, the son of Kanpur-based tobacco businessman KK Mishra, has come under renewed scrutiny after a Lamborghini allegedly driven by him crashed into pedestrians and vehicles in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, leaving six people injured.
The accident occurred on Sunday afternoon near Rev-3 Mall on VIP Road in the Gwaltoli area. Police said the luxury car lost control and struck bystanders and multiple vehicles, triggering panic in the busy locality.
According to DCP (Central) Atul Kumar Srivastava, the incident took place around 3:15 pm. “The injured were provided primary treatment. An FIR will be registered, and further legal action will follow,” he said.
Details of the Crash
Eyewitnesses told police the Lamborghini first hit an auto-rickshaw before colliding with a parked Royal Enfield motorcycle. The impact reportedly threw the motorcycle rider several feet into the air. The vehicle allegedly dragged the bike for some distance before crashing into an electric pole.
One of the injured, identified as Taufiq from Yamunaganj, sustained serious leg injuries. Others suffered fractures and bruises, police said.
Local residents gathered at the scene shortly after the crash and surrounded the vehicle. Some witnesses alleged that individuals accompanying the accused attempted to disperse the crowd, escalating tensions.
Police later removed the driver from the scene and seized the Lamborghini. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
Earlier Income Tax Raids
Shivam Mishra had previously drawn attention in 2024 when the Income Tax Department conducted coordinated searches linked to his family’s tobacco business.
His father, KK Mishra, heads Banshidhar Tobacco Private Limited, a company supplying products to major pan masala manufacturers.
During the raids, which spanned multiple cities including Kanpur, Delhi, Mumbai and parts of Gujarat, officials examined financial records amid allegations of discrepancies between declared income and estimated turnover. Authorities had indicated that while the company reported annual earnings of approximately Rs 20–25 crore, actual turnover could have been significantly higher.
Investigators were also reportedly examining possible tax and GST violations, along with alleged offshore financial links. No detailed public update on the outcome of those proceedings has since been released.
Luxury Assets in Focus
Following the earlier searches, reports had claimed that authorities found a collection of high-end vehicles at a Delhi residence linked to Shivam Mishra. The fleet allegedly included models such as a Rolls-Royce Phantom, McLaren, Porsche and a Lamborghini Revuelto, with an estimated combined value running into tens of crores.
Officials had also reportedly seized cash, jewellery and luxury watches during the operation.
While the crash and previous financial investigations are separate matters, the latest incident has renewed attention on the businessman’s son and his assets.
Police have said further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing probe into the accident.
